Configure Ship Via Options
The Ship Via screen provides access to several options that control pickup and delivery ordering options in the SMART Site.
This is a screen shot of the Web Site configuration portion of the ship via screen. These options need to be set for each Ship Via.
The SMART Site uses the customer’s ship-via to determine which days are available for pickup and delivery.
The following options can be set from the Ship Via screen.
· Web Order Cutoff
a. Allows you to select the latest time that an order can be entered for today’s delivery or tomorrow’s delivery (depending on the Allow Same Day Delivery Field Setting).
b. If the order is entered after the cutoff time, then 1 additional day is added to the earliest possible delivery date.
i. If the Same Day Delivery option is enabled and the customer enters an order after the cutoff time then the earliest date they can select from the calendar for delivery/pickup is the next valid delivery/pickup date after today
ii. If the Sale Day Delivery option is disabled and the customer enters an order after the cutoff time then the earliest date the customer can select from the calendar is the next valid delivery / pickup date after tomorrow.
· Web Order Delivery Days
a. This is the maximum number of days into the future that orders can be placed.
b. Only dates that are available for Delivery or Pickup will be selectable in the calendar control on the website.
· Allow Same Day Delivery
a. This determines if today is a valid date that can be selected for delivery. If the customer enters their order after the Web Cutoff time, today will not be selectable regardless of whether or not this box is checked.
· Delivery / Pickup days options
a. This allows you to set which days of the week are valid for pickup and / or delivery for each ship via. If a day is not checked for either pickup or delivery, the customer will not be able to select dates that fall on that day of the week for delivery. You can use this to prevent orders from being entered for weekend deliveries. If you want to allow pickup orders but not delivery orders, you can uncheck the delivery box and check the pickup box for that day of the week.
b. If only the pickup option is available for a specific day of the week, the customer will be notified that only pickup orders are allowed if they select the corresponding day of the week from the calendar.
· Minimum Delivery Order Amount
a. If this value is set, then the user must order at least the minimum delivery order amount in order to choose the delivery option on the check out page. (if Delivery is available for that day of the week)
b. The customer will still be able to place pickup orders for less than the minimum delivery order amount.
