How to Use the Dump Customer
A Dump Customer is used to track product too old to sell.
The first step is to create a new customer called Dump Customer in your SMARTSystem
There are 2 checkboxes that need to be set to configure the Dump Customer in the Customer Maintenance screen. Dump Customer and Do Not Export to Accounting
And in System Control you need to check the box Sell to Dump Customers for $0.00
Now when you create an order the price will be $0
There are then two reports you can run to track your wastage;
The Sales by Product Report
And the Inventory Gross Profit Report where you can see the loss of income
