Creating Custom UPC and Box Labels for Specific Customers

This guide will walk you through how to make custom labels, with Barcodes and other information showing on the label.

1. To start open up the Custom Label Designer under reports

2.  This will open this window

3. Choose your label size first, together with the font and font size. You may have to experiment with different fonts to get the label looking the way you want.

4.  Now Add a Label and check the Data Field box to select different data from SMARTSystem

Here we selected ProductDescription

5. After clicking OK you will see the field appear on the label. You can resize it using the arrows and if you double-click you can edit it.

6. Next add a Barcode using the same procedure as above

Here is an example of a customers barcode for reference:

7.  When you have finished your label click SAVE and you will get a confirmation window

8. Now you can assign the label to specific customers using the Assign to Customers Button


9. Search for the customer and then select the label type and check the boxes and finally save to save your choices

10. Now you will see under the customer that the label has been assigned

11. For the UPC barcode to work correctly the UPC code must be under the inventory item as below:

12. To print the labels, click on Print Labels on the sales order

13. Then select how many labels you want to print.
