Purchase Order Advice Report
Purpose: To outline the requirements and using the Purchase Order Advice Report.
Prerequisites
- Before the report can be run successfully. The minimums and maximums for each product need to be set on the inventory item. These are the levels that the advice report will pull from for re-ordering product. If you have a minimum stock of 100 and the on hand quantity falls below that when you run the report it will show this item needs to be restocked.
- The primary vendor for each Inventory item also needs to be set. As the report needs this information to run.
- Setting up the Vendor
Under the Purchase Info Tab when you open up a vendor from vendor view you can set minimums and maximums for each vendor. - Running the Report
Select one vendor from the Vendor Name dropdown list and use the filters to select the categories. For example; Supplies and Candles.
- Click on create report. An excel file will be created like this example below:
8. Importing Data into New PO
Next, we will import this data into a new PO in the system. Open a new PO by going to PO entry and Receiving
9. Enter the Vendor that you previously entered in the Report and click on the Import PO details Tab
Browse for the excel sheet (it will usually be saved to C:WFSData\Excel) and click Pre-import Review
10. If you are happy with the quantities shown click Import PO Details
You will now see the items entered into the PO.
